Enough.

Enough. Enough. Enough. Enough. Enough. Enough. Enough. Enough. Enough. Enough. Enough.

Enough lies.
Enough dead.
Enough time.
Enough polls.
Enough tables.
Enough protests.
Enough blogs.

I've had it. I won't take it anymore. Three Sailors died today in Iraq. Sailors. First Class Petty Officers. I knew one of them. His name is Jason Dale Lewis. He's an EOD guy, for those who know what that means. He was in my best friend from high school's unit until last year. He was the guy who took my friend under his wing. He was like a big brother to him. He was a good man, a good father, a good friend, a good husband. He was a Navy SEAL, an elite, one of our nation's very finest. He sweated and suffered through more than most of us, even in the military, could imagine enduring. He was special. Now he's dead. That's not ok. I'm not going to get over it. I'm not going to be ok. Their team won't be ok. And their families, like all the other families whose husbands and fathers and sons have been murdered, won't be ok.

Fold.

The whole Navy is grieving today. We're not the army. We don't die in deserts. Sailors don't die for our country, we live for our country. SEALs aren't supposed to die at all. They're the best of the best. An EOD SEAL costs more in time, resources, blood, sweat and tears than any other member of the military. A first class, career EOD SEAL in the prime of his life is absolutely priceless. First classes don't die. They teach the rest of us how to survive. Bush just killed three of our nation's finest. They can't be replaced. And he killed him as surely as if he'd shot them himself.

I wish I was stationed on the East Coast. I'd be standing in front of the White House right now at parade rest in my dress whites, crying. I don't know what to do over here. I'm in a Navy town. There's no point protesting. We all already know.

I can't believe there's an anti-impeachment diary on the rec list right now. I can't believe anybody in this country is still anti-impeachment. Impeachment isn't nearly enough. There is no punishment severe enough for the criminals running the country. They've stolen our money, broken our Army, sullied our good name worldwide. They shouldn't be alive, much less in power!

I'm sorry Jason. I'm sorry I didn't do anything to stop this from happening. I'm going to do something now. I don't know what. But I'm going to do something more than just blogging and calling and begging and talking. I'm probably going to get in trouble. But it's worth it.
